Later that afternoon, we went to our friends' house. Stephen (American) and Junko (Japanese) have a 3-year old daughter, Sophia. She and Joseph get along like a house on fire.
While Sophia and Joseph were playing (and not eating their dinner), they started to sing some Japanese songs. Sophia ran to her mom and said "Joseph can speak Japanese!" Sophia and Joseph then sang about 5 traditional Japanese children's songs and had a show for everyone. I'm not sure if Joseph knows what he's singing, but he had a good time.
