A cool park in Tokyo

So in an effort to entertain a two-year old on a Sunday afternoon, we headed to Yoyogi Park in Tokyo -- one of the largest parks around. It was really cool, in an insane kind of way. This place was PACKED! It kind of reminded me of the quad at U of I, even with all the hackey-sack guys running around. The above (not-so-clear) photo is of a hula hoop group at the park. Some of the other noticeable groups/gigs included the following:
  • a ukulele group
  • a top-40 wannabe group
  • a single guy belting out Simon and Garfunkel tunes.
  • two women (in high heels) jumping rope
  • a group of French people making a mural
Although I didn't see this group, apparently there are "Dancing Elvises" on Sundays. We definitely have to go back to see this act.
